.... and kissed the receptionist at my insurance company.

no kidding.

i had had 20 minutes to kill in between appointments and thought i'd run to the other side of town to change my last name on my insurance policy. {yes, it's taken awhile. it's been hard for me to do. but lately i've had a little extra motivation - hopefully i'll be able to blog about it soon - to get all the everything i have changed back to my real name.}

but the receptionist.

i told her what i needed.

she said ok.

she pulled up my information. typed a little and then looked over at me and asked, "marriage or reclaiming a maiden name?" and the corners around her eyes got a little soft and a little understanding.

and that is the kindest way i have heard it put yet.

    That is a very good way to put it! I am glad you are reclaiming your maiden name and I am glad she did not give you a hard time. It took me a whole year to change my name it is a VERY hard thing to do.
    I love you!

    That's an excellent way to say it. I'm glad at least that one time it was easy. Thinking of you often...
    Hugs!

    Oh how I've missed you Lisa! I've not been online for longer than a few minutes at a time for the last few months, but so often as I go about my day I think of you.

    The world is a much better place with you in it. I think you're the cat's pajammas. I've actually written you a couple of long messages only to find out that I STILL can't remember my google identity and couldn't send, so I'm just going to push send and see if I've finally got it write!
