Despite all of my whining, we've done things this summer ...

Elizabeth and I had an intriguing time on Hawthorne.  She purchased the lovely outfit you see here.
Just kidding.

He was asking for it.
Still on Hawthorne.

Shoes and I ate the WORST Chinese food EVER in Hermiston, Oregon.
I thought I remembered the place from high school.
I thought it was ok.
I was wrong.
So very wrong.
Immediate illness.
And now I am the butt of many, many jokes....
This chicken wing was an authentic Chinese fossil.

And I held this baby, whom I love.
He is so cuddly,
bare tummy and chunky baby arms.
His parents are two of the most lovely people I know,
brought to my life courtesy of Shoes.

And Shoes and I visited Mt. St.Helens.
On a Sunday afternoon.
Which we will never do again as there were people everywhere.
Everywhere.
He grumbled about taking this photo;
I always ask him to contort his torso
to accommodate our feet.
What else is left for this summer?

Sarah's baby shower.
A trip to Kelso to see Ronna.
Textbook buying.
New employee orientation at the continuing care community
 for my internship.
Cooler weather.
A visit from Katelyn and Kylee.
A little bit of smushing to get everything in,
but it will work.
It always does.

ummmmm I want to hold that baby!!! Is that the baby you were telling me about? ADORABLE!!!!
Edwin is always making fun of me when I bring up things from my childhood that I thought were amazing. I will talk and talk about it and then we will try it and it turns out to be not so much fun. He LOVES when those things happen. ergh!

Yay I was wondering when you were going to post those fun pictures...I can't wait for part 2.

It's unfortunate that you had awful chinese, but I don't think it's a particular good food anyway.

Don't forget to look for books at www.bookbyte.com and let me know if I need to pick any up for you.

Rebekah is looking forward to Lisa time in a couple of weeks. In fact she spent most of the day calling Erica, auntie Lisa. LOL Silly girl.

@Sarah - this is Malaika's future husband! Yes! I want to hold him again too. I can't wait for you to have your baby so I can hold her. When are you guys going out for a special romantic evening so I can watch Malaika? That new baby is coming .... better get the date in soon ... :)

@Elizabeth - There was going to be a part II to this post, but I (grrr) forgot my camera yesterday, so it probably won't happen until the 3rd week of September (yes, unfortunately, I plan that far in advance). I'm looking forward to my Rebekah time, too!!!!

well, you know what our anniversary is coming up next week... SO maybe I can ask Edwin if he wants to plan a romantic evening. =) What days/nights work for you? (next week or week after. ) AND if you want to come a little early for the baby shower I think Susanna is coming around 11 or 12 so we can chop stuff up and decorate.
    Thank you thank you!
