this picture was taken by me, in a car, driving, following Shoes' U Haul truck and trailer. Mmm, please don't ask how. I'm pretty sure it was not safe.
I also snapped a picture of the NSA listening site, because, well, come on. It's right there in the middle of the desert for anybody to see. Shoes, however, said, "No." And he said, "Lisa. Really. You do not post pictures of the NSA listening site on your blog."
But the point of this posting is that Shoes is finally moved from the Vineyard town to Almost Canada. It took the better part of Spring Break, but he's in his fancy new condo, learning how to be a civil servant in a new county.
Never the less, some visual memories:
Wooderson is a GREAT traveling partner.
This is a slow process.
This is me helping Shoes settle in.
Now that I'm back in Portland, however, it's time to settle down and dig into the last term of the school year ~ a fabulous time filled with Data Analysis for Social Workers (:S), Macro Theory and Motivational Interviewing. Ten fun filled weeks until summer break ...
Ohhhh THAT almost Canada town. I think I know where you are speaking of now. So pretty there! I was trying to think of an almost Canadian town over here that would be big enough for him...I was drawing a blank, lol.
I'm so happy for you!!
Didn't Wooderson have a tendency to want to tip forward when you hit the breaks? (This is the way my brain works.)
Happy for you <3
YOU'RE BACK BLOGGING!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Remember the day we figured out that Allen was applying for the job in WW? And remember the first time we got to meet?! You're the BEST at figuring things out! ;) I'm sure you have it right. I LOVE it up there.
Wooderson was kept in check by the massive pile of stuff that was eventually piled on the floor. She (he swears it's a she) was too heavy and the seatbelt chime kept sounding.
Now, I'm off to read your blog! Woo hoo!
I love that you posted a picture of Wodderson, I laughed out loud when I saw it.
Glad that you got Shoes moved and settled in.
And I think that your shoes are super cute in that picture.
Thank you for your encouraging words on my blog. I think it is just embarrassing for me because others see him and say "That's who she was married to!?" Yet, he was not like that when I married him.
Love you.
I was wondering when you were going to tell us all about your Spring Break. It probably wasn't as fun as the Grand Canyon or going to Las Vegas for all the other things to do there besides gambling, but it sounds like he is happy and you are happy. That's all that matters. Plus you got to spend all that time together in a non-totally school stressed out mind.
SHHHHHHHH!!! lol It's a secret blog, :D I am giggling like a little girl right now...
Yes I do remember that day very clearly, it was one of my happiest days. It's so funny, the other day Allen and I were talking about my old blog and then we switched to WW and he says, "Oh, wait, I TOTALLY forgot that that's how you met Lisa!!"
A she? That's one stern looking woman, haha!!
I left you an informational comment on my blog regarding Allen's job situation.
<3 uuuuuuuu
I love the Miss Woody pic! :)
