2. I've my hands full with theories and weekly papers including: child centered play therapy, filial play therapy, therapy with families experiencing multi stressors, attachment, abuse and trauma, child suicide ideation (that's not a fun thing to post about, but it does give you a realistic description of what I think about on a weekly basis) ...
3. I have multiple stressors ...
4. I am behind on all of my wedding benchmarks.
5. Is it Saturday or Sunday? I think it's Sunday.
6. I forgot to wash my hair this morning, but did put deodorant on before my shower.
7. That wasn't exactly helpful.
8. I have not, and will not, see Shoes for a total of 4 or 5 weeks. That's the way we roll with our schedules sometimes.
9. I get my first client this week at my internship. I've worked with kids for 11 years and ... I. Am. Terrified.
10. That's normal.
11. I wrapped up my 4 year Guardian Ad Litem case yesterday. All of my heart's good wishes to you, young man.
12. I have no less than 6 phone calls to return to family and close friends. Love you guys.
13. This could rank as the most boring post ever. EVER.
14. We will return to your regularly scheduled, non boring programming at some point in the very near future.
15. I hope # 14 wasn't a lie.
Sounds like sugar ants, my dear. They are fast, hungry and Will Not Stop. Getting cold so they are coming in. They like fats more than actual sugar, though. Get a few of those ant traps - liquid in a little trap - they will swarm to them for a few days, die and the rest will stop coming. Works for us. I'm with you though - they make me cringe. Ew.
although I've never personally tried it, I'm told that a smear of diluted peppermint essential oil, as a perimeter will keep ants away. No idea if that works. I've never had them INSIDE...only OUTSIDE, where I ruin the earth and poison them with insecticidal ant powder. I would use a gun if someone would let me.
oh...and it's not the most boring post ever because putting on deodorant before your shower is very interesting...not helpful, as you say, but highly entertaining.
@Sarah -- would you believe this? I have two traps in my kitchen and those snarky little buggers stroll right past them. I used to use them in Washington all the time and they worked beautifully. Portland ants are snootier than E. Washington ants.
@W -- I have been known to empty a can of RAID outside in their industriously built little homes. That is bad, I know. I don't have kids or dogs or cats, but I know it is BAD for the earth. But now, it is raining. And the spray is getting washed away. Sad.
Cinnamon... will deter ants if you can figure out where they are entering your apartment... we had some quite stubborn ants in Italy! One time... I was at a gathering at a park with some friends and couldn't find Brother Rootbeer... so, I asked my mommy friends if they had seen him anywhere... to which they replied... the child who's hand you are holding?
@A/W - I'll definitely have to try the cinnamon. For some reason I put down a bunch of cayenne pepper thinking that helped. It doesn't. And I'm glad B.R. hadn't gone too far .... ;)
