My goddaughter turns 2 on Wednesday, but the Birthday Girl had her party on Saturday. Lucky, lucky mommy and daddy had a party day without rain.
So many things I love about Rebekah. I love how she "reads" books like this:
"Afkeopena kier kodag mirno mmmmp. THE END!!"
I love how she's entirely uncomfortable with loud noises or sudden noises (think train whistles) and will freeze, calm herself, nod and say, "Bekah ok?"
I love how she tells me to take naps.
I love how her internal clock clicks at 1:00 and she will tell other people, "Nap?"
I love her two year old hugs and her hesitation around new people.
All around, she is turning into a fantastic human being. And I'm so glad she, her mommy and daddy live just an hour south. I wish I had time to see them more.
Sigh. Someday she will look at the camera when we take pictures together.
Too bad your school wasn't an hour south...and then we could see each other all the time. LOL Rebekah loves your pictures...she saw you and said "auntie Lisa" and now she's looking at the picture of her blowing out the candles and she's saying "blow hard (while blowing into her hand)" LOL. So glad you could come and post pictures.
She's so cute and I love things that two year olds do. Glad that you had a fun time!
How is she TWO already???? My goodness how time flies...
She is VERY lucky to have you as her Godmother!! I love two year olds, they are so unpredictable and adorable. Looks like she had a fantastic birthday party!
@Elizabeth - I would love to see you guys more. Hopefully we'll be able to come with you to Wildlife Safari!
@Kylee - 2 years is one of my most favorite ages. I LOVE the talking!!
@Ronna - I know. My roommate's baby, Madelyn, is a year and a half now too ... and I'm COMPLETELY missing out on all of those fun growing things ... :(
@Sarah - we need to get together. I need some Malaika time!!
